Veronica J. Newsom, LMFT (CA, WA, MT, OR, UT, ID) is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and a Founding Therapist (KAP) at Innerwell, with a B.A. Anthropology from UCLA (06/2004) and an M.A. Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles (09/2008). Veronica became independently licensed as a Marriage Family Therapist in August 2015, following four years of postgraduate doctoral study in Existential Psychology at Saybrook University. Veronica opened a brick-and-mortar private practice in March 2018, devoted to the idea that deep analysis and loving acceptance of the shadow self can lead to integration and healing of the psyche. Shadow Love Therapy now provides virtual therapy for neurodiverse adults and their partners living throughout California, Washington, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Idaho. Veronica has specialized, trauma-informed experience with LGBTQIA+ adults seeking poly-friendly/ethical non-monogamy counseling and particularly enjoys working with artists/writers/musicians, therapists/social workers, scientists/educators/engineers, entrepreneurs/psychonauts/visionaries and first-responders/service members/Veterans.
