Veronica J. Newsom, LMFT (CA, WA, MT, OR, UT) is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow at Shadow Love Therapy and a Founding Therapist (KAP) at Innerwell. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Veronica Newsom holds a B.A. Anthropology from UCLA (06/2004) and an M.A. Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles (09/2008). Veronica became independently licensed as Marriage Family Therapist in August 2015, following four years of doctoral study in existential psychotherapy and integrative medicine at Saybrook University. Veronica opened a psychodynamic-existential private practice in March 2018, devoted to the idea that deep analysis and loving acceptance of the shadow self can lead to integration and healing of the psyche. The practice became fully virtual in May 2019 and is open to clients living across the West Coast. Shadow Love Therapy provides virtual mental health services for neurodiverse adults and their partners living in California,Washington, Montana, Oregon and/or Utah, with focus on LGBTQIA+ adults seeking poly-friendly, ethical non-monogamy counseling. Through collaborative treatment and inner work, you can improve emotional regulation, communication skills, insight and self-confidence on your path towards full acceptance of your authentic self. Veronica has trauma-informed, specialized experience working with therapists/social workers, artists/writers, actors/performers, scientists/educators and Veterans/first-responders/medics. Vee Newsom, LMFT is able to accept some insurance plans through RULA (formerly PATH) and Innerwell. No insurance is accepted through Shadow Love Therapy.
